Peer
Review Policy
All manuscripts submitted to Acta
Didactica Napocensia
are subject to a rigorous and fair peer review process designed to ensure high
standards of academic quality, originality, and research integrity.
The journal operates a double-blind
peer review system. Neither authors nor reviewers are informed of each other’s
identities, and authors are required to submit anonymized manuscripts to
facilitate impartial evaluation.
Upon submission, each manuscript
undergoes a preliminary evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief or a
designated Responsable Editor to determine whether it
falls within the journal’s scope, complies with the submission guidelines, and
meets basic academic and methodological standards. Submissions are also screened
for originality. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be declined at
this stage.
Manuscripts that pass the
preliminary evaluation are undergo review process: the papers are
sent to at least two independent reviewers with recognized expertise in the
relevant field. Reviewers are selected on the basis of
their scholarly competence and absence of conflicts of interest. They are asked
to assess the originality and contribution of the work, the adequacy of its
theoretical framework, the rigor and appropriateness of the methodology, the
quality and relevance of the references, the clarity of analysis and
argumentation, and adherence to ethical standards. In cases where reviewers’ opinions
differ substantially, the editor may seek the opinion of an additional
reviewer.
Based on the reviewers’ reports,
the Editor-in-Chief makes the decision which can be one of the
following: acceptance without revisions, acceptance with minor revisions,
invitation to revise and resubmit following major revisions, or rejection.
When revisions are requested,
authors are expected to submit a revised version of their
manuscript within the indicated timeframe, accompanied by a detailed response
explaining how they have addressed the reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts
may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
All participants in the review
process are expected to respect principles of confidentiality and academic
integrity. Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents.
Reviewers and editors must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse
themselves where necessary. Any suspicion of plagiarism, data fabrication,
falsification, or other forms of academic misconduct will be handled in
accordance with established ethical standards.
